- What is your role in the open government community (are you a journalist, non-profit member, educator, concerned member of the public)?
- I am on the board of directors of the League of Technical Voters, a Austin, Texas based 501(c)3 organization.
My background is in free software and free educational works. My hope is to transfer the knowledge learned over the past 25 years in the free software movement and to apply that knowledge in effective ways to help build a transparency movement.
- What does "government transparency" mean to you?
- Government transparency is about creating a culture through which the process and the means through which we govern are made as transparent and comprehensible as possible.
